Crash Course World History:  Globalization - Good or Bad?

This video brings up numerous topics (individualism, sustainability, economics, democracy, the family) related to the causes and effects of globalization, but focus, if you would, on the first five minutes or so, in which John Green discusses how the Catholic Church embraced the 60's movement towards individual freedom at its Second Vatican Council (incidentally, the council which produced Gaudium et Spes).  While I do not share all his views, it is interesting that he mentions Vatican II in such a context--the Church was and is, after all, always endeavoring to keep with the "signs of the times."
